Resources

ResourcesThe story of computing is written in its artifacts, with the organizations in which they were birthed, and notably by the people who formed them.

Many of computing's significant artifacts are actively part of the fabric of civilization; others may be found in museums around the world. Over a number of years I wrote the column "On Computing" for the IEEE Computer Society, wherein I explored the themes associated with Computing. To inform my understanding of the stories of computing, I have collected and studied a multitude of books, here organized according the places where computing and the human experience intersect.

Museums

Museums named in italics are online only; the museum named in bold is my primary source, the one for which I was a trustee for over a decade.
